Participant Media Release & Consent Agreement

This Participant Media Release & Consent Agreement ("Agreement") is between SyQuest Labs LLC, doing business as Swevo ("Swevo," "we," "us"), and the participant ("Participant," "you").
1. Consent to recording and broadcasting
You authorize Swevo to livestream, photograph, record on video and audio, and otherwise capture your participation in debates, discussions, interviews, and related events hosted or organized by Swevo, on swevo.io or in person. This includes recordings made before, during, and after an event, such as introductions, audience interactions, and related activities in which you appear.
2. Use of name, image, voice, and likeness
You grant Swevo permission to use your name, username, approved biographical information, photographs, image, likeness, voice, and recorded participation (together, your "Likeness") in connection with:
- Promotion and advertising of Swevo and its events.
- Social media content, including short-form videos, highlights, reels, and clips.
- Swevo's website, apps, and other digital platforms.
- Marketing campaigns, presentations, and promotional materials.
- Event recaps, compilations, and educational or entertainment content.
- Commercial distribution and monetization of recorded content.
These permissions apply to all media formats and channels, now known or later developed.
3. Ownership and license
Swevo owns the audiovisual recordings and productions it creates or commissions in connection with its events, subject to applicable law and third-party rights. You grant Swevo a worldwide, perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, edit, publish, distribute, display, and monetize your recorded contributions and Likeness as incorporated into those productions. Swevo may sublicense these rights to distribution partners and platforms, and they pass to any successor of Swevo's business. You keep ownership of your preexisting intellectual property and your underlying original contributions, except for the rights granted here.
4. Editing
Swevo may edit, shorten, caption, reformat, translate, or combine recordings with other material. Swevo will make reasonable efforts to preserve the context and intended meaning of your statements and will not knowingly edit recordings to materially misrepresent your expressed views. You waive any right to inspect or approve the finished content before it is used.
5. AI tools
Swevo may use automated and AI tools to transcribe, caption, translate, summarize, and clip recordings. Without your separate written consent, Swevo will not (a) use AI to generate synthetic video, images, or audio of you saying or doing something you did not say or do, or (b) use your Likeness to train AI models that generate images, video, or voices.
6. No endorsement
Your participation does not make you an endorser of Swevo's sponsors, advertisers, or unrelated third-party products or services, and Swevo will not present you as one without your permission.
7. Compensation
Participation may be paid or voluntary, as agreed separately. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, no further compensation, license fees, or royalties are owed for Swevo's permitted uses under this Agreement. Any separately agreed fee remains subject to its own payment terms. Earnings from gifts and tips on the Service are governed by the Terms of Use.
8. Release of claims
To the extent permitted by law, you release Swevo, its affiliates, licensees, and successors from claims arising from the uses permitted by this Agreement, including claims for invasion of privacy, right of publicity, and defamation. This release does not cover uses that knowingly and materially misrepresent your views in breach of Section 4.
9. Your representations
You confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into this Agreement.
- You voluntarily agree to participate and be recorded.
- Your participation does not breach any agreement you have with an employer or another party.
- To the best of your knowledge, any third-party material you intentionally provide for use in Swevo content is authorized for that use or clearly identified as needing permission.
10. No obligation to use
Swevo is not required to record, publish, or use any of your participation.
11. Duration and withdrawal
These permissions remain in effect indefinitely, to the extent permitted by law. Content may be livestreamed, shared, downloaded, or redistributed by third parties, and Swevo may be unable to recall copies already in circulation. Any legal rights you have to withdraw consent, request removal, or restrict the processing of your personal information are not affected. A withdrawal applies only to future uses, and Swevo is not required to remove or alter productions already published, unless the law requires it. Send requests in writing to support@swevo.io. 12. General
This Agreement supplements our Terms of Use (/terms). If they conflict on recording or Likeness, this Agreement controls. It is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Electronic acceptance and electronic signatures are valid and binding.
13. Acknowledgment
By checking the box or signing below, you confirm that you have read and understood this Agreement and agree to its terms.
